As a first-generation American and the first in her family to earn advanced higher education degrees, Belinda Caballero has built successful businesses and helped others along the way. A Florida native who moved to Oklahoma in March 2020, Caballero is the business owner for BC Medical Billing LLC, which provides medical billing services and has offices in Hollywood, Florida, and Oklahoma City. She has two decades of experience in the medical industry and more than 11 years in billing and coding after beginning her career as a cardiology and radiology technician. Caballero has a Master of Business Administration degree in health care from American Intercontinental University in Houston. She holds certifications as a certified professional coder, Florida licensed radiology technologist and registered medical assistant.

She founded BC Medical Billing in 2014 and the related BC Consulting Firm in 2020. “She has been a trailblazer in the world of female health-consulting and medical billing and coding,” said Rene Garcia, Miami-Dade County commissioner, District 13. Caballero is on the board of directors for the Florida organization H.O.P.E., serves as treasurer and has chaired its gala committee. She was a committee member for the Key Clubhouse, serves on the advisory board for the Dan Marino Foundation and has been involved with other organizations. She has served on advisory boards for medical billing and coding at Florida Career College and Keiser University for the last several years.

BC Medical Billing and Caballero are now extending their philanthropic activity to Oklahoma. Collaborations are planned with the Homeless Alliance, collecting items for homeless women, and PedBike, which will be donating bicycle helmets as part of a holiday toy drive. Caballero always is striving to make those around her better, whether it’s her clients, her family, her employees or the nonprofits she serves as a “caring and enthusiastic humanitarian,” said Brooke Baran, president, Baran Strategy & Communications. “I have watched her tirelessly build several successful businesses while caring for her family and friends. She manages her team with ease, social awareness, sensitivity and grace,” Baran said. “The kudos she receives from her clients says it all. Her entire company has been built by word of mouth and due to her skill.” In June, BC Medical Billing started a mentorship program in Oklahoma to educate women in Oklahoma in the medical billing field, providing paid on-the-job training, internships and mentorship. BC Medical Billing also helps pay for the AAPC CPC Certified Professional Coder Certification exam.
